This might be a dumb question but...
Why do people conceal their plates when they post pictures. If everyone who saw the plates on the internet, went out and looked at the car in person, how would this be any different? I'm just curious.

you can find out the persons address, which in turn can lead to break ins or I Dont know. Its a privacy thing i guess.

i think the covering of the plates started from REALLY hooked up cars that had tens of thousands of dollars worth of aftermarket work and could easily be vandilized or stolen, or parts stolen. then it trickled down to basically stock cars that no one would waste their time doing an easy interenet search to find that persons house. but if it helps you sleep at night....

I don't think anybody here is brave enough to make it over to Italy and break into my home just for the sole purpose of seeing my license plate on the Forum.
