"Hurricane" Irene Photos
went out yesterday in the middle of the storm with a photographer buddy and spent about 4.5 hours driving around the area viewing the effects of the storm and the storm itself. realistically speaking, we had a nor'easter come through this spring that was worse in terms of rainfall and flooding, just not wind. this storm certainly wasn't worth the hype.
anyway, here are some pictures. they aren't that great due to the fact that i was usually hanging out of the window of a truck in the rain, etc. just thought some might like to see. iphone shot. there are areas that got it pretty bad, but it's nothing too out of the ordinary here. weatherman said earlier that the water crested at 8.5 feet.

in some of the pictures, you made the hurricane almost beautiful...
great shots, really captures things. I don't see a lot of debris, was it just all rain, or did that area get a lot of wind too? |
