Talking my monaco blue 325xi

Here are some pics of my monaco blue 325xi at the dealership. It was a cloudy day, so the car seems black, and is reflecting everything.

Prior to my car delivery, my dealer left two paint chips on the hood. I'm happy to say that they have fixed it. The hood was taken to a body shop where the clearcoat was removed, the chipped area resprayed, and the hood recleared. As compensation, the dealer installed a 3M clear bra on the car for free. I am pleased that my dealer properly resolved this issue.

The car is pretty much stock at the moment. A minor thing: on the front, there is no plastic front bracket. This forces the license plate and clear cover to slightly bend and conform to the round front bumper.

A more noticeable thing: new shoes. I made my dealer buy back the stock tires as according to the Tire Rack survey, they have poor performance in snow. So I changed to 18" M5 replica rims with Yokohama AVID H4S high-performance all seasons. The tires have good Tire Rack ratings on dry and snowy roads.

I will take some better pics after I get the car tinted.

hey icedragon

how much did you pay for the M5 replicas? if i'm not mistaken, they are from fastwheels.ca, right?

are you running a staggered setup, or 18x8 all the way around

looks great btw

I didn't kno fastwheels made them. I actually ordered them from Michigan (Lakeshore Wheel and Tire). They are 18x8 all around.

looks nice with the tint

so is 30% max tint allow in NYS? according to the DMV
Quote:
Section 375 (12-a) of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law does not allow a windshield or front side windows that are dark. The windshield and front side windows cannot block more than 30% of the light. Seventy percent or more of the light from the outside must pass through the window. This law also applies to rear windows unless the vehicle has outside rear-view mirrors on both sides. The mirrors must give the driver a full and clear view behind the vehicle.

Unhappy

Help!!! Please.......I realize this is a very old thread...However, I have the same year, make & model. I am going to purchase 18's & I need to know what size tires are on this car. I am in Central, NY & I deal with very shitty roads, potholes etc. I want to be sure that the tires I purchase are going to work with my car. I am running non-staggerd 225-45-17 now & I am going up a size. I really dont want to do anything else but put them on my car.

Thank you!
