I am the attorney representing Mrs. Jimenez. I received the Government's motion to terminate proceedings, and did not object. I am waiting for a response from the Immigration Judge (I'm actually on hold with the Court as I write this).

Hopefully we can fix this problem.

You don't automatically become a citizen just by getting married to someone who is a US citizen.

That's right, this is the same in Canada. You need to go through the process of getting:
1. landing rights; (will be similar to getting a proper visa as in the US)
2. resident status; (will be similar to the Green card in the US)
3. citizenship status;

Each step is separate and will require sponsorship from a legal citizen, in this case, her spouse.
