Commenting redesign

Can we have a commenting system similar to reddit's? I mean one word comments like "lol" and "haha" etc, don't add to discussion in the slightest, they just make you scroll like an idiot looking for an actual thread contribution. So shitty comments get downvoted into invisibility and meaningful comments stay on top so people can actually discuss topics. This way people think twice before posting. It seems that people only care about post count and not quality content.

Just had to get this off my chest, because lately this site is turning from a class to douche

Awesome idea.. could provide more content-rich posts from our community.

Here's one available addon for vbulletin which can provide at least acknowledgement of helpful posts. IMO makes a lot of sense for a forum about vehicles. http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=233296

Apparently it's also in the vbulletin roadmap for 4.x
