because i have be handbraking my dvds into itunes to watch on iphones/ipads/ipods for years...finally got around to pushing to the TVs...it really is a very simple and effective device...plays all my music...can rent/buy itunes...netflix..etc...

My Chinese made laptop power cord burnt out today. I spent $7+$15 shipped a year ago from a seller based in China via eBay. I needed a power adapter bad, so I bought a genuine HP power adapter for $80 from best buy. While I was waiting in line, I searched on eBay via app on iPhone and found same exact, genuine, brand new, HP power cord for $30 shipped.

Spent $80 for the cable at best buy today and will return it for full refund when the $30 cable arrives. I used the same system for my griffin car and wall charger & my mophie power pack plus battery extender. Battery extender was $107 from best buy and griffin charger was $45. I got the griffin pack for $15 shipped and the mophie for $60 shipped.

Friends think I'm ghetto/crazy. I jusy dont like getting ripped off. And hey, I can't afford a BMW if I have to pay retail price for everything. eBay/amazon FTW.

You're exactly right. I used to sell for CC, and if I got you passed the 1000 mark, I would hit you with small items like cables and they wouldn't budge because it's just another 50-100.

There was a reddit about that 2.5K cable and some dude stole one from a news station and replaced the original with a $5 cable... no one ever noticed any difference in quality, look or anything for that matter lol.

i get this...but does every local store have to been in on the conspiracy?? I mean stupid Big Lots was charging $12....shouldn't there be at least 1 honest store??

And why just rip us off with HDMI cables?? Why not batteries or tools...or other crap???
