How to find out who made a fake Craiglist Ad
Anyways, someone made 2 Craiglist postings for my car for sale and just curious if there's any way to find out who. If not, no problem but it just sucks having people call me and text me asking for my car. Lol thanks. Will post payment soon
Edit: payment added. Last edited by FlashBimmer9er; 02-21-2012 at 09:26 AM.. |

e-mail them as a potential buyer and see what e-mail replies to it.

Oh such a classic joke,
I had this done to me back before the internet. Adding insult to all the calls for my classic Mustang I had at the time was the Newspaper which the ad was place in kept sending me a bill to pay for the ad. It took a long time to get it cleared up and they simply refuse to believe someone played a joke on me. As it turned out others would place an ad sell the car then claim they never placed ad in the first place and would refuse to pay the ad placement bill. It was standard lie to get out of the bill. I never found out who placed the ad, but I am pretty sure who it was. |

You can actually email craigslist themselves since the legal form that you click accept on also says that if you by any means post information about anyone without their consent the person who made the said "fake add" will pay craigslist a fine of $1000 per infraction. I read the fine print cause I was gonna do this to someone and was like hmmm, maaaybe I should actually read the print for once.
