There are viruses for mac, just not as many as for PC's so I wouldn't say never. You're chances are far less, yes. That will change in the coming years. Hackers target the mass, and with PC's having nearly 90% of the market you get more bang for the buck going after them. But with the rise of Apple it creates a desire to go after OS X as well. In other words, it's just a matter of time, dude.

I agree, it's only a matter of time before they jump ship. Which is why I have a free AV for Mac just in case.

I wiped it and it's running perfect, like day one. Challenge completed.

Mac's (or any apple problem) you take to your local apple store and they fix it FREE of charge.

I have had a screen go out, and a keyboard go out, $1800 worth of parts, they replaced for free, same day.
I thought macs never had problems? or was that just Apple fanboys spewing out bs :P

Also, all manufacturer's will cover those parts within the first year. Well not all, Asus will actually cover all hardware for 2 years on most laptops plus will cover accidental damage within the first year Asus's warranty > all.

All devices will have their fare share of issues. Computers are complex devices, regardless of what OS you have issues will come up. Just like Japanese cars tend to be more reliable they will still nonetheless have issues. Nothing is perfect.
