2. you guys could continue to talk as much shit as youd like, but for the record, i drove around with my rims on my Tl for 2 years. with noooooooo problem. the rims did 130 mph with nooooo problem. the rims did a quarter mile in 14.6 seconds with noooooo problem, and the rims were fine on my wreckless daily driving. sooooooo i guess the bottom line is there were no problems
3. i dont know if long tran is being sarcastic, but being that the two bolt pattern rim worked 100% perfect for me, and numerous other people i know, the design does seem like a great idea. obviously there is a center cap that covers the bolt pattern, so as long as they fit perfectly on 2 or 3 different sets of bolts, seems like a good idea to me.

I had Racing Harts Type C's with a very similar bolt pattern on a mustang cobra I once owned several years ago. The wheels were fine but I would always be a little worried. Some mustang owners had cracked or completely broke wheel studs after hard "launches" which made me afraid that that I would bust my wheels......

I'm sure the dual bolt pattern wheels have been designed and engineering calcs have been made to ensure they won't fall apart. ( I wonder if they have that german TUV approval though)

I would bet that the wheels are actually heavier than a single bolt patern wheel as they have to beef up parts of the hub to account for the extra wheels.

The multiple fitments allow for cheaper wheels and less models for tire shops to stock.

I'm still against it, but I can see why they do it

i am not being sarcastic. i use these wheels all the time when i was into honda/acura. i really think these are pretty smart. they save me money.i use to have the 4/5x114 pattern. i used the racing hart type c on a 92 vigor then switched to 99 accord v6. i bet these guys are yapping their mouth but have no idea what they are talking about. they just look at it and assume its bad. jawa and tuv approve are certification for japan (jawa) and german (tuv) market. they wont approve these wheels with the universal pattern if they werent safe.

i agree with long tran. if you guys wanna talk shit about someone buying a dual bolt pattern rim because they are "cheaper" thats one thing. but im sure they are very safe. if im ever gonna buy rims again, im gonna spend a decent amount, and im gonna make sure they dont have a dual bolt pattern because of HOW much i will be spending. but for a cheaper set of rims, this is fine.

The reason I made the comment is because in order to have hole spacing like that and still maintain enough strength they would have had to add a lot of material to the wheels in the areas around the bolt holes to make them strong enough. I mean, look at the spacing on the top left and right holes, the counterbores/countersinks overlap!! Makes me wonder if the lug bolt head breaks into the second hole. The stress concentration around those must be horrible under high loads. It's just my 2c but I wouldn't buy them. There have got to be decent looking rims with a single bolt pattern that aren't too expensive.

P.S. Before reading this I didn't even know they made dual bolt pattern wheels.

I've always been a believer in nice high quality rims, even when I drove hondas and acuras. I would never buy those type of rims, even if I had two different cars they would both fit on...

If I didn't have some $$, it was always stock.

danny, i spent 2,800 on my last rims with tires. i thought at the time that was a decent amount of money. it wasnt the 5,000 i wanted to spend for lowenharts, but i thought it was enough to earn some respect. and they did help me win a few trophies.
but for the sake of this thread, maybe it wasnt enough to get wholes with only one bolt pattern.
