Congrats to Bonds, but I just hope the Giants win. I am the biggest Giants fan you will ever meet, and am not the biggest Bonds fan, but I gotta give it up to him for being such a team player. All he cares about is winning and would trade this record for a World series ring in a heartbeat.

But steroids has been used for so long that it has hard to know.

Also back in hank's day the pitchers had their mound changed which then caused hitters to hit way better. That could be cheap considered to some back then.

I just read about the same stuff in my local news paper the other day. Said around 2/3's of the people found using steroids were actually pitchers and also talked about the pitching mound/Hank thing. I agree do it doesn't make things right but puts things into perspectives that people shouldn't focus their anger on just bonds when steroids have become common use in the MLB (but that might decline now).

You have to give the man credit though, extra strength is only part of the formula to be so successful in this sport. There's also skill and talent that some are just born with to allow them to connect so well with the ball.

Now we just have to watch out for A. Rod . This dude is on fire too.

lol--I'll tell you what's up--they just SUCK this year. Too many people hurt, too many changes in the rotation. Albert is having a good year stats-wise, but I agree with you--he is just not the guy we are accustomed to seeing.

Im just busting your balls a little over the Brewers--I will be cheering for them to win the division over the useless Cubs no matter what. The people in Chicago are seriously deranged about this team--even with their obvious flaws and streaky play, you would think we were looking at the 1936 Yankees or something. That division is so weak that I wouldn't be surprised if St. Lous was there at the end as well....

And I am glad the chase is over too--I wouldn't be surprised to see Bonds go nuts now that the pressure will be off him--he might end up hitting 40 homers for the season, and he has 22 or 23 now....
