Nikon D40x Testing
Just got my Nikon D40x today. The reason why i buy it b/c it won the "Best Entry DSLR" in the TIPA.
Testing: 1st time take a shoot. Still using the standard 18-55mm lens. But i will get the 18-135mm lens next week. My friend said the 18-135mm lens will be better. |

Enjoy your new camera - I've been a Nikon shooter for almost 30 years and they make good kit. You ought to check some lens reviews before you buy a new lens. Bjorn Rorslet and Thom Hogan are both well regarded photographers with a useful collection of lens reviews on their respective sites. Based on their reviews, I would be more inclined to go with the 18-70 than the 18-135.

I have the same camera.. i got the 55-200 (think thats it) and it's really nice, has the anti shake built into it, I use it for outdoor zoom stuff, for close up i use the stock lense.
