E92 M3 vs. Me in N55 DCT 135i

Hey guys,
One of my good buddies has a stock E92 M3 Manual. He just texted me asking if I wanted to do a couple pulls against him after work today just to see how my car stacks up to his. Does anyone have an opinion on what I could do to keep up with him. Maybe suggest a certain MPH to go from or something? I'm assuming I will get my ass handed to me, but I would like to have a good showing at least.

Do a 30-100mph pull. Don't race him above 100.

Awesome! Thanks. How bad should I be getting beat by him? Should I let DCT shift for me or use the paddles? I will be sure to put sport mode on.

Nothing good will happen for you at higher speeds. With the lack of an LSD, launches won't help your case either. Your best bet would be to try a 5-80 run or similar. Where should I tell my DPD friend to look for you guys?

I don't know the power range on the n55. But on my 6mt n54 I shift at 6200-6300 rpm to keep it in the power range.

Back when my car was stock I was able to pull 0.5-1 car length on a stock e92 m3 that a friend owned. Above 100 he started to pull away steadily.

So in that range I would think it would be a close race.

Are you manual? I have DCT...I don't know if it makes any difference.

Thanks man. Ended up not running them yesterday. It got dark to quick and neither one of us wanted to run at night...to much of a risk. We plan on running this weekend, if traffic is good. We are planning on using a go pro too.
