House was broken in to
So I went to go check on a house that I have for sale and as I was showing a couple the house, I started commenting on the SS fridge that was included and she was like "Where?"
Well it turns out that some people went and cut the lock box, used the key to enter in the front door, took my fridge, washer and dryer! They cut the gas line to the dryer but they were nice enough to turn off the valve. They also were nice enough to lock the front door when they left. In any case, I called the cops expecting to see some CSI type fingerprint shit... NOPE. Just a case # |

Anyways I'm having the locks re-tumbled. Sucks because insurance won't give me shit since this stuff was at least 5 years old. They depreciate it right? Also we have a 1K deductible. We prob. will just eat the loss. |

That sucks!
My house is for sale too. However, there's now nothing to steal in it, as of Friday. Fridge, washer, and dryer moved with me; fridge went into the new garage (joining a second fridge there!). Wife gets one fridge (family food), I get the other (beer, beer, more beer). Separate but equal works well in this case. Now I just need to convince her that we need to run the water line to the fridge with the water dispenser. I get thirsty working in the garage! Maybe need some A/C in there... Don't sweat the old fridge, washer, and dryer. New owners will want their own, new ones anyway. |

Sorry to hear about your incident. Where I come from we count ourselves lucky when that happens. Most robberies now days are armed sometimes resulting in murder. If we are lucky enough to have a “simple” break-in the thieves will trash the place drink all your liquor and defecate on your bed as a parting gift. Your thieves sound like true gentlemen. Oh, and you lucky to get a case number.
