The guy above you knows a bit more about college sports than judging a team over a display of ONE game.... especially since the ONE game was the biggest game of the year. I played football all my life, through my second year of college till an injury took me away from the game, and from my point of view, it would be simply unfair to take away from ND.

Yeah, they didn't show up to play, they got slaughtered.... but you can't take away:

1. They went 12-0 with a pretty tough schedule. Anyone who argues the strength of their schedule is a tard, and someone who seriously has no knowledge of Collegiate sports.

2. Their recruiting class for next year is looking very good, especially sicne their QB is so young. The offense will have time to build, and Brian Kelly is the guy to do that.

3. They aren't losing very many people, only Te'o, which from last nights performance, won't be missed much.


Next, TAMU had 2 losses this year.... one to an LSU team they should have beat fair and square. You can't look past that. Manziel is great, I think so to, as you can tell from the other thread I started. But they are not a #2 pre season team.

I'm a die hard South Carolina fan, and if we weren't losing half our Defense, than I would be sure enough to put us in the top 5, but we are losing 2 key players which worries me. If that weren't happening, I would bet a paycheck to say USC would take TAMU next year, but who knows.


I see you're from NC, I trust you're not just stuck in the basketball world and have dipped into Football to learn, and trust enough that no poll will put Notre Dame out of the top 5 for next year. Not gonna happen.

The one game that counted for everything, and they blew it with a lackluster performance. Sorry, they can be ranked however you choose, and they will probably blow it again because they will face a real college program.

BOOM! Agree 125%.

Wasn't ever arguing that fact. They did have a pretty hard schedule, but no SEC. People can talk trash all they want, and I just sit back and listen to all the over rated talk. When it boils down to it, this years Vanderbilt team could have played the Notre Dame team that played last night.

SEC is strong, and I wish they would schedule more out of conference to prove it, but since we decided to add two schools, all we did was take away from the chance at proving our strength during the regular season.
