Great looking E9
This is how a BMW should look. Not a fan of having BBS on E9, Alpina wheels look better and i don't know why the beautiful dash wood is replaced with CF. Still look wise, this car is great. http://bringatrailer.com/2013/07/02/...2-bmw-3-0-csi/ |

I assume you are asking about fuel consumption. That really depends on the condition of the car we are speaking and also the model. Factory models have M30B25, M30B28 and M30B30 engine and the later one came in both fuel injected and carbureted models. A healthy factory engine M30B30 with D-Jetronic and 4-Speed needs 14-15L in city/12L in highway. But that's not all. M30s are very bullet proof engines but they have one issue and that's headgasket. Cooling in E9 is very poor and you can easily overheat the engine and if you do that you will blow the headgasket. That's the case of numerous E9s out there and as the result, if you look hard you can find some E9s with newer M30's from E28 and E34. The newer M30B30 or M30B35 do better on gas, and if the old 4-speed is replaced with a Getrag 262 or other 5-speeds, the fuel consumption drops even further.

outstanding. the E9 has always been one of my favorites from an aesthetic point of view. the proportions are spot on and its interior is one of the best BMW has produced
