Amazing collection of cars. Surprised to see so much American iron. But what is the deal with the wall in the middle of the track? I assume it is part of the original layout but would hate to see someone crash into it with one of those beautiful cars

I was standing right beside you for the Tiff interview.

Best car event in the world. I was there for four days and just about saw everything. What the pics don't tell is what this event is about. Just a minute after the Tiff interview the red arrows jet planes were flying overhead, whilst three formula 1 cars were blasting up the hill. Sensory overload. Thats just a snapshot of the whole weekend. Also met Chris Evans, Alan McNish and Jackie Stewart. Mad!!

The Goodwood 'wall' isn't shown in any of the posted photos, so, not quite sure which wall you are refering to....?

There is no original layout for the FofS as such it been the same since the first one held back in the early 1990's, the 'track' is part of the main drive up to Goodwood House and through the estate...and yes, if you are refeing to the Goodwood 'wall' not shown in the photos, yes, plenty of expensive machinery has hit that over the years.
However, I wonder if you are getting this event confused with the Goodwood Revival Meet which is held on the original Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit in September of each year.

I was getting the event confused with the Revival Meet. In the chicane of the Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit there appears to be concrete walls that have to be negotiated. But apparently they are not concrete...
