I beeline to the meat and fish counters, and then run right out.

Organic food is the way to go though. With all the GMO's and chemicals/hormones in our foods, I can't believe that it doesn't affect us negatively. It's pricey but worth it. I shop at a more up-scale location so the people look more normal though, but there are still a couple of white women with dreads working there. Haha.

I go to whole foods every Thursday.
Why? Simple, I fill a growler(or two) with local/imported craft beer for $8 since its $4 off any growler fill on Thursday. Best Deal Ever. I buy nothing else.

Whole Foods = Organic, unwaxed fruit. Then out the door. Trader Joe's is cheaper and has better stuff, at least in Indy. WF might be better in bigger metro areas.

Hell yea! I got Hofbrau Hefe last night for $8 which is a great Vienna brew. I would suggest you check or call a local one to see if they have a bar with taps and if they have deals.

It's nice...just so damn overpriced. GMO foods have not been shown to be dangerous, and are often safer since they require fewer fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. There's only been one study suggesting danger (the French rat study) and it has been throughly debunked. Never passed peer review.
I'd prefer not to have feedlot hormone and antibiotic laden meet though, but am seldom willing to pay the premium. Man...the beef I had in Argentina was amazing. They put limits on how much they're allowed to export though. Economic genisus they are! |
