Collection of tuned 80s BMW´s

Thought I share this with you, there are quite some nice and some nasty examples of what was going on in the 80s:

My BMW love affair started with this '82 E21 320i. A mechanic friend had brought this back from Germany(we were in the Army together) and said he'd done a lot of "tuning" to it, but it all escaped me as I was never a motorhead. I just knew I liked nice cars that went real fast and this ride did. I had it for like 3 years and traded her in. Sure do miss the old gal still.

That's the thing with classic BMW's, you have to accept that usually it's gonna need some doin' due to it's age, but I have come across some late 70's to early 80's models in great condition and low mileage relative to it's age for short money. One that's caught my eye recently is this 1977 6-Series with 17K miles for $19K. It was owned by Wilhelm Karmann. If I didn't have a payment and had a few thousand stashed, I'd have already owned this beauty. Something about classic BMW's just churns me up.

I know right? Something about them awakes the kid in me and I just want to get behind the wheel and keep on driving.....The 6er in your link is in a astonishing good shape.....you wont find one of these in such a great shape over here for that price, you would have to pay around 30k euro (40500$) for an equally good car. Bummer.
