Little disappointed on the discount. I remember a much much better discount on the E9X.
Hell, this discount is almost what I got when I purchased my 135. |

Well this is more of a reason to take a closer look at the new vette, MB c63amg, Porche Caymen S. Etc etc. I put a deposit down 3 years ago when it was 8k off. On top of that I mentioned how Audi was running a 1k free shipping promo at the time that they honored. I was getting it for basically 9k less. Lots of thinking to do in the next year.

I don't think that they can legally do it. The base military price is set by BMW AG

My sales guy has confirmed that the order has been placed with the factory, and that now he is waiting for the production slot information. The request was made for 1st week May.

I'm hoping that the next model year will allow for some of the options to be "pick and choose", but I'm not holding my breath. EDIT: Well, it's really not that much of an increase when you think about it. Last edited by Vectors2final; 02-25-2014 at 03:57 PM.. |

I meant from the proposed starting price of $56,600
It does suck that not only was the starting price off, the option prices were was off. Namely the exec with the full leather. |

I don't care what they say there is "wiggle room". Especially considering we used to get 8k off the car. As stated before there was enough "wiggle" room WITH the 8k discount that they covered the 1k shipping (I wasn't taking delivery overseas I was in Afghanistan and I would take delivery at a state side dealership). I am sure the sales rep didn't get as much commission but they did what they had to for the deal.

I plan on taking US delivery as well.
Granted, I've got some time before I can order which makes me hope for some improvements to the ordering and packages. I also have a couple other cars in mind, so this package thing could be a deal breaker. |

The more I think about this, the more I am disappointed. Between the not so good discount and not being able to pick and choose options like before.
We'll see if anything changes in a year or so when I plan on ordering the car. |

I've tried to talk myself out of this car, but I don't think I can. I think it will be even hard to talk myself out of it once there are people taking delivery, seeing them in the wild, pictures, etc. Even more than that, the numbers and the video reviews will drive me nuts. I'll regret not getting one methinks. I'll be looking to place an order come winter time. |

I think part of it for me is it opens more options, in regards to cars, with the discount being so low. Before I couldn't even get a 2 year old USED m3 for the military sale price of new. That wont be the case, and I don't mind someone else taking the sticker shock and buying 1 year used. Now only saving 4,500 or so as compared to 9k (with the 1k shipping discount they were giving me) its a tough pill to swallow.

Completely understandable.
I don't think I want to buy this car used is all. I'd rather just get it the way I want it, the color, the options, etc. I'm also particular about paint care as detailing is my hobby. I just feel that buying a new one is the best option for me. The discount is still good, and I'm willing to accept that. I'll be ordering in the Winter and picking up in the summer. I'll be in Korea, not driving for a year so it'll be worth it once I get back. This car seems to check all the boxes, so I think I'm less inclined to can it less than a year later. |
