704 M Sport Suspension - n/c
Guys- I ordered a 228i, no line, no sport. But my vehicle inquiry report shows this line.
It also shows the steptronic instead of sport auto. Does everyone's report look like this? |

Yeah, definitely call your CA quick! You don't want the Steptronic Auto...needs to be the Sport Auto!!
As for the suspension, if you can somehow get the M suspension for no charge take it! Unless you wanted the standard due to harsh roads in your area.

Agreed with Scott. I think you need to make a call. You'll definitely want the sport auto. Can't think of reason why you would want to steptronic instead.

I sent an e-mail. No response. I have to think that it's impossible for the car to be build with the steptronic and that best case scenario is that it gets the sport auto 8-speed ZF, and worst case scenario is that the order is rejected. I also sort of think that since we know it's impossible to get a N/C sport suspension without getting a sport line or an M235 that both are just errors that are going to resolve themselves at some point in the process.
I feel like I'm going to drive my CA nuts if I call him and harass him about this kind of thing Free sport suspension ftw though... lol |

Shifts are noticeably faster with the sport auto so it's not just paddles and launch control unfortunately

I am just hoping that by keeping this topic alive customers do not get the Steptronic selected for them. Last edited by SteveAustin; 04-16-2014 at 03:00 PM.. |

There are so many out there with the Steptronic.. currently going through potential dealer trades with my CA and 75% of the cars with the options I want have it. So frustrating! If I can't find anything this week I think I'll have to order.

I got my VIN. Checked a couple online VIN decoders, and it looks like I do have M sport suspension. Not sure how. Maybe it really is an intentional no-cost option. Anyone know?
