Sorry you find my thoughts ridiculous, I was just responding to this post: "...BBS is the BMW of wheel manufacturers. They make the lightest, strongest, best looking wheels and they have been putting them on high performance cars forever..." I'll go hide in my cave now and let the knowledgable ones speak. Danny

Oh come off it, I was refering to the whole debate, not just your post. Debates like that one just degrade from useful info where people are suggesting quality wheels to buy, to a fight over who's favorite wheel company is best and grand statments about the lightest, strongest, fastest, best looking, etc.

I was referring my RGRs which are, at the very least, OF the lightest, strongest, and best looking. Volks may be light and strong, but the pics shown here look better suited on Evos than Bimmers. And while the Volks may be lighter, how can you say they are stronger? Because you've seen a bent LM? Well, I'm sure someone has seen a bent Volk. Lastly, this thread is getting ridiculous. We arguing about which FORGED wheels are the strongest! Jeesh! I was only responding to the guy who didn't know anything about BBS. You certainly can't say a damn thing online without an argument starting. Let's please just agree that forged wheels are the strongest wheels and put this to bed.

Okay, if you want to believe BBS's are stronger, fine with me. People are entitled to believe what they want, but I'll turn your question around and ask you "how can you say they BBS' are the strongest?" I mean now you say "OF the..." I was responding to your first version. I don't EVER mean to start a discussion about which thing looks better than what. If you think my rims look better on an EVO, I DON'T GIVE A SHIT. Not going to change my order. I never said anything bad about your setup at all. Danny

Science improves and so do the alloys used in making wheels. They ARE getting lighter and stronger. Unless you do stress and strain tests, there is no way to know who is the strongest. You cant go by word of mouth because if someone says they bought a cheap wheel, hit a pot whole, and bent them, doesnt meat shit. They could have been going 60 and hit a 5 inch deep pot hole. Usually people that spend more money on their wheels (BBS, Volk, etc.) know their value and care more for them, trying to drive carefully and avoid things that could damage them.

I followed a link to see what Volks looked like. Someone posted a model name and I googled it. First pic that came up was on an Evo -- looked fine. I just think BBS look classic on bimmers since I have seen them on bimmers forever. I look forward to seeing your setup.
Peace, Danny. P.S. FWIW, I think something gets lost on an Internet board. We could've had this discussion in person in about 2 minutes without misunderstanding.
