favorite road trip things to do..

planning a 1700 mile road trip in my new 435 Gran Coupe Msport... which also happens to be my first BMW. I'm planning lots of great driving routes and I've got my Passport Max and digital camera fired up.

Any other favorite things you all make sure to plan into your road trips? Whats the best way to know the local dive spots with great cheap food?

I use urbanspoon, or google "diners, drive-ins and dives" to find good food places. Not always cheap, but I've never had anything less than an amazing meal this way.

One thing to keep in mind is pre wax the front bumper and hood. Its easier to wash off all the bugs later.

Me and my girl keep a small ice cooler and picnic blankets in the trunk. We are very scenic people and appreciate amazing views. Consider grabbing take out

we just recently went on a road trip to osoyoos, bc and wow the fields and mountains are endless. Have a great trip sir, hope all goes well and you have a blast with your new coupe
