What worried me FAR more was that he was supposed to be in that airliner quarantine enclosure, yet he WALKED out the back of the NORMAL amberlamp with NO RESPIRATOR on his back.
That's not tin foil on your head, the CDC just pulled the hood clean off and hid in broad daylight. |

It was the "mystery serum" that saved the two of them.

Real question: IF this Dr. was there treating Ebola patients, and knew the protocols to avoid bodily contact, how did he contract the virus? It's not airborne, so he had to come in direct physical contact with bodily secretions.

Wait....now we have a "potential" infected man in NYC. He's been to one of those danger country recently and has the symptoms and being diagnosed in Mount Sinai.
They say "unlikely", but if this turns out bad, you better start staying home. http://abcnews.go.com/Health/york-ci...ry?id=24838232 |

Put travel restrictions. If you're from America and are for whatever reason in Africa, you should have up to ten days to return home or you will be forced to stay there. This should be effective immediately. And our military should be sent to the border to stop any more illegals from coming in.

I did read about the FEMA camps the other day. I also read that last Thursday Obama signed an executive order giving the govt the right to detain and send away anyone with a respiratory illness. He basically modified Bush's SARS executive order into his dictatorial dream. So basically you cough and you can get arrested.

However, I just read an article which explained that most hospital nurses in affected areas are "on strike." Consequently, one hospital in the affected region has 55 patients in the Ebola ward but only 1 doctor and 1 nurse to oversee it. The doctor routinely walks in the ward in the morning to see countless patients writhing on the floor in pools of their own blood, vomit, and stool. There was no one there to help the patients back into bed (as the infected are too delirious to pull themselves up); no one there to clean the contaminated areas. Most hospitals are now out of surgical gloves and clean needles. Given these facts, I'm glad that our citizens are back. It appears every possible safeguard was used in ensuring their safe arrival and treatment. Also, both of the U.S. citizens with Ebola were given an experimental serum/drug called "ZMapp," which is made from tobacco plants. The ZMapp drug has not been FDA-approved for human clinical trials but the "compassionate use" exception was taken advantage of. After receiving the serum, both U.S. patients improved. The ZMapp drug has yielded a 100% survival rate for Ebola-ravaged monkeys when the monkeys are given the drug 1 day after exposure. Now, it is possible that the ZMapp drug will be fast-tracked so that human clinical trials can begin in as little as 2 months. Right now, it is the best potential treatment option.
