the execs at bmw are apple fan boys and girls. you can see the favoritism since day one and iphone apps and lack of any support for android until recently as an after thought.

Even the name Android is odd. Does it mean copy everything you can without paying a penny to who has the patents.

I'm going to have to go against the grain here and say BMW doesn't love iPhones. To my knowledge, Android phones have better connectivity for the Telephony system in the cars (iPhones are incapable of properly showing track data from 3rd party apps, Only use of Office is Calendar, that too when used with USB and the BMW app). BMW's system may actually be more geared towards Blackberries, because the system just doesn't seem to cooperate nicely with the latest phones. This could very well just be my experience.
