Who has Active Steering?

Just curious if you have active steering and if you actually like it?

Garage List
My 2007 e93 335i had it. It is extremely nice in parking lots, good on freeways, and okay on backroads. I wouldn't order it if I had the choice again. It also makes alignments significantly more expensive and more difficult to get done at non-BMW centers.

I have it on our 2012 X5.

It's my wife's DD so I'm glad we have it - she always complains about the heavy steering in my 3 series but has never been bothered by the X5 (and I read comments on this forum about the heavy steering in the X5). Parking lots, maneuvering, slow speed driving situations - it's easy to drive. With that said, I don't have much seat time in an X5 w/o Active Steering to compare.

I wish I had it on my 2012 X5, but now that 2015 model is extremely light with electronic steering, I just wasn't sure if I should even consider it but it is one option which I may be able to add, unless it's finicky I will skip and go with LED lighting package instead.

Tell me more about the alignment. I have AS and it's kinda light at high speeds like Servotronic wasn't working or something.
