So guys, here we have a Indy Film from IFC Midnight Studios. I watched it last night and I gotta say, if you enjoy: Sci-Fi, Suspense, Alien Abduction genre/films, you MUST watch this asafp! It is funny, suspenseful, well written, and solid cast of characters and surprisingly well done special effects! Check it out and tell me what you think...

Looks kind of cool. I was pretty much onboard until Sam Fisher (Michael Ironside) is saying "we have a treaty with them and it consists of a cardinal rule... don't engage. You engaged..."

This implies that our government has a delicate intergalactic treaty with a far superior race of aliens that can be undone if anyone shows aggression towards an entity that is actively abducting people?

Like, if a random farmer fires a shotgun into his crops while his cows are being mutilated or if someone tries to defend themselves in their home, all bets are off? Their expectation is that the general public were going to be complicit in this treaty without knowing about it?

That part completely confused me.

Saw the movie and it was okay. A lot familiar scenes and cliches. I liked Honeymoon better starring the red headed chick/Wildling from GOT.

Overall the movie was pretty well done! I thought the ending was hurried but they kind of worked themselves into a corner.

If you like Alien abduction movies this is a solid contribution. Fire in the Sky ranks higher to me, but this had some cool aspects.

Nice. And I agree with you on the ending! But also, I actually was pleasantly surprised they even gave us that aspect of the Aliens! I hadn't seen the trailer before watching the movie. And I thought it was just gonna end near the cabin or woods. I thought the characters did a entertaining job and the females were all pretty attractive. Hated to see what happened to the one stoner dude.

Agreed. The dude that went crazy and turned on his friends... was also the dude that went crazy and turned on his friends in Tucker and Dale vs. Evil hahah.

I take it you liked Cabin in The Woods? That was one of the absolute BEST Horror/Sci-Fi movies ever for me. And that's saying alot. They are working on a sequel FYI.
