Excellent! I have an allocation (and ordering once that opens) but happy to now see what it will actually look like.
Long Beach Blue with Mugello Red Full Merino Leather and all the options. Putting the current F15 up for sale soon.

Ummm... Isn't the DCT supposed to be available? All I see is the 8 speed automatic in the standard spec list (both X5M and X6M)...

No DCT on the X5M/X6M...I think it is due to the torque. Porsche Cayenne also does NOT have the PDK. There's a video on youtube that explains why Porsche was unable to offer the PDK on the Cayenne

Yeah... I just went back and researched the announcement thread. Seems a lot of folks were expecting/wanting the DCT (myself included).
I was considering trading in my 2013 X6M for the DCT, but this makes the decision a little easier... No offense to the fine 8-Speed, but I liked the idea of the DCT to match that in my M6. It makes the choice between an upgraded X6M and a new M4 that much easier... |

With the 8 gears and massaging provided by M to this transmission, I really don't think it will matter. The transmission in my 2013 X5M is pretty impressive as it is and after having experienced the 8sp gearbox in my wife's 335x, I think that M's work in these new x5/x6 M's will lessen the sense of loss people feel from the lack of a DCT. Personally, I would sacrifice the DCT for long term reliability.

Much like we've learned to accept turbo charged engines; perhaps this generation of autoboxs deserves a second look. |

Is it just me or can you only do the exterior and interior options on the iPhone or mobile site?

You'll need a torque converter to tow what these larger SUV's are capable of towing. The clutch in the DCT wouldn't be up to the task which is why I think they decided to have a torque converter auto. But I'm sure it's an exceptional transmission with the M treatment.

100k is a bargain. Cayenne TT with options is 120k, and has less hp and torque...

I'm saying that the 108k MSRP will come down to a buy price @ 103 - and just blasting sales from the competitors. |
