Scratched interior soft touch door panel
Hope you guys are having a great thanksgiving week so far. I have 2013 128i and unfortunately, while I was getting out of the car in a parking space where adjacent cars were parked too close, I scratched off the soft touch door panel like in the pic with my shoes. (lower part) I don't know how I made that like that with one time for real. Is there any way I can erase that marks and make it look like before? I've used olive oil as one of my friends suggested, but didn't do any. help me pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee.

What I did back in the car audio days was to take a lighters flame and go over the white colored scratches. Trust me this works great. It won't get rid of the scratches but they will be the same color as the original panel. I have only done this on plastic and never on soft touch.

I would not use a lighter on any kind of grained finish, I damaged the plastic in my old Escape doing that.
I have lots of the same scratches in the same spot on my X1. Mostly due to women kicking the passenger door open....with heels.... If someone can figure out how to remove them it would be amazing. einszett deep plastic cleaner does not help. |
