Random thought, BMW & Honda
Are these really the only two mainstream manufacturers of both automobiles and motorcycles? I guess Peugeot and Suzuki count but barely.

I believe so.
I suppose you could include Ducati now that they were bought out by Lamborghini (which is owned by Audi, which is owned by the VW Group)...but that's a real stretch. |

Suzuki, Honda, and BMW are the only mainstream manufacturers that badge both their bikes and cars with the same name that I can think of. I'd bet India and China may have bike/car companies, but I'm not 100% on that.

BMW, Honda, Suzuki, Peugeot. Ducati and MV Augusta cannot count, different badge, different origins, and it is not Daimler or VAG that build those bikes, as it is the case with them building for VAG with Bentley and Lamborghini.

They honestly make great cars. Or atleast in my bias opinion. I own a 09' Grand Vitara and the thing is just solid. Low maintenance and great in the snow. I have an X5M too but I find myself driving the Suzuki more often...
