Turner Motorsport working on the E92 M3?

Here is today's image of Turner Motorsport Race Shop Cam.

Seems like they're working on a couple of E92 M3s. Woohoo. Can't wait until next year to follow them on Speed.

Yes, Koni Grand AM, GS class. BMW teams competed this year with a combination of E46s and E92s, mostly the former. BMW lost manufacturer title this year by 1 point to Ford (Mustang teams).

Next year, all BMW teams are scrambling to develop their E92 cars.

I'm looking at an e46 M3 track car. Maybe I should be looking for a Mustang

Perhaps so, but no reason to roll your eyes. The results were the results, and these were primarily stock-based cars, with the rules in this series allowing modifications primarily for safety reasons. Obviously, that includes suspension tweaks and brake upgrades, but the basic configuration must remain true to stock.

I'm sure that part of the game (as it is in most of organized racing) is figuring out how to "cheat" without getting caught. I have no clue how diligent the Koni officials are in terms of oversight, inspection, and rules enforcement.

Can someone please explain the graffi the Nurburgring always has on it? I've always found that extremely strange. When would someone get access to the track and why would they do that?

Weird post on such an old thread...

Basically people go over the fence at night (as with most other graffiti painters) and do their thing. Graffiti gives new drivers of the ring a lot of reference points. Sometimes not only graffitis are drawn, but the apex would get arrow markers. For example, brake by the head of the troll, left on the capital J, and apex is the center of the heart. It works.
