80's kid here also. TMNT won't be releasing till august. But Rise of the Apes is coming out this weekend and it's going to be EPIC!! I 've been to the movies more this year than the previous 4 years put together.

do I go watch this shit this weekend and ruin in by all the fucked-up-theater-people or do I wait for it to come out on PPV or BluRay so I can watch it in the comfort of my own home theater on a 75" Samsung with full surround ????

I think the only other movie i remember being so excited about was when Mortal Kombat came out......

Yeah I'm disappointed at all of the movie flops this summer. Transformers 4 was atrocious. Lucy is in the running for worst movie of all time (Bucky Larson: born to be a star probably edges out Lucy by a little for this title). Into the storm has received awful reviews (18% RT). TMNT has awful reviews (19% RT).

Guess I'm watching the hundred food journey today! It's not great @ 60% RT but it's respectable. Then again, Lucy received 62% on RT when it probably deserves more like 6%.

Just go see Guardians of the Galaxy instead - WAY better reviews.

Guardians of the Galaxy deserves the reviews in my opinion. Great movie, also Planet of the Apes was amazing as well

Not surprisingly all three movies are >= 90% on rotten tomatoes.

Is Edge of Tomorrow the Tom Cruise movie? How did that one do so well, usually I hear his movies don't do well. I like most of them though

Yeah TMNT has worse reviews than Lucy. I thought Lucy was OKAY, but not worth the $13. The movies I enjoyed this year were:

Winter Soldier
Edge of Tomorrow
22 Jump Street
Planet of the Apes

Guardians didn't do it for me the way I figured it would. Though I did watch it at 12:30am so maybe I was too sleepy to enjoy. I'm old.
