I don't know why everyone is complaining about the Dinan upgrade? I think it's being $600 over the Vishnu chip is worth it since you get the piece of mind of warranty coverage. That's a nice insurance policy if you ask me.

Did you even read the rest of this thread?

With the chip-tuning mentioned the M3 will maintain a near 100bhp advantage over a 335i.

I think you are over estimating which can be achieved while still maintaining it's N/A status. If you think that a 3.0 Bi-turbo engine's power is limited to 100hp less than the M3 you are sadly mistaken, some Nissan GTRs can muster in excess of 1000hp and all from 2.6L.

The only way the M3 can stay ahead of the 335i is solely by joining the club and go FORCED INDUCTION.

even if the 335i passes the M3 in power the M3 is still an M3...its status, although I'm happy with my 335i!

Which m3 and year? the e46 m3 vs 335i with the right driver. we are already quicker than the old one. Yes we getting closer to m3 08 one.. We will never beat the fully mode m3 e92 one. However, we can get close to e92 m3 margin of hp by 100 hp. IT is not a comparison between 335i vs e92. a 335i fully mode cant compare with the barely mode m3 e92, eventhough the number very close to each other..

I know the M3 will always be the superior driver's choice in some people's eyes but if BMW offer the 335i with this Torque-Vectoring diff which is meant to be similar to BMW's M-diff if maybe not quite as technically advanced but it will still mean that the two model are coming closer because of it and will make the argument for having the M3 harder to justify.

People forget that a 335i is "mass produced" on the standard BMW production line, whereas "M's" are designed and made by an small elite of BMW engineers...

335i is a great car but its no m3 no way no how....


i garuntee even if both cars had equal power the m3 would still be more fun to drive.. nothing like pulling till redline that high in a v8 nothing.. seriously anyone who has owned a honda can imagine the feeling of vtec multiplied by 20 in a v8 and higher redline OMG... i cant wait to drive one

Actually it is vtec multiply by 2.5 to get 10 cylinders.
