WTF?

A 22-year-old man from Maine died yesterday after setting a mortar tube firework off on the top of his head, a state official said.

Hard to tell, he put a tube mounted mortar on his head without the tube so just blew his head off?

I think he tried to launch the thing with the base of it on his head instead of the ground. I'm assuming the recoil killed him.

First, I do not believe his friend tried to stop him, really they were drinking, and next you know there is a video some where.

I am betting he loaded it the wrong way, with the load facing up verse down and it launched into his head verse upwards. I have seen that happen, someone load the firework upside down and when it goes off, it will blow a hole in the ground when you do not mount the motar tube to you head.

This is like those idiot out in Yosemite who die going over the waterfalls. Unlike this guy where it had sign no swimming allegators, the signs in Yosemite clear said do not go in to the water, you will die nothing left to imagination there, but every year people go into the wate spilt and fall and go over the falls onto the rocks.
