Never said they were discontinued (I see them all the time here in Germany)...I said "How about, best candy that is contraband in the US?"
BTW - The are Contraband in the US because no confection can contain toys in the US or something like that. I am too lazy to look up the exact wording again, hence why I put the wikipedia link :-) |

Quote:
"Kinder Eggs containing toys are not suitable for children under the age of three due to the small parts which may be ingested or inhaled. They are sold all over the world excluding the United States, where the 1938 Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, prohibits embedding "non-nutritive items" in confections. Additionally, the Consumer Product Safety issued a recall on the eggs in 1997. Kinder Egg-like confections are available, but only in a form filled with small candies and/or stickers. There are some stores in the United States that sell genuine Kinder Eggs, often in conjunction with other imported British or other European sweets, although their importation is technically illegal due to the 1938 law and 1997 recall."...yet they still allow Hostess Twinkies". Somehow I don't think that creamy filling is exactly a "nutritive item". And I'm sure there are some that wouldn't classify alcohol as a "nutritive item" either yet that's what is in Cordial Cherries. On a side note, did you know that you can't mail a box of those Cordial Cherries to your Mom (you cheapskate) for Christmas via the U.S. Mail? BTW, "your Mom" and "you cheapskate" are not directed at Mr Crutch 325i .
