Anyone checked the movie out? I just got back from watching it. What did you guys think about the ending of the movie?

I find it quite enjoyable.. actually. They stay true to the respective franchises. The Predator is a complete bad ass compare to the ones in AvP1, and the PredAlien shown some interesting abilities, like [spoiler] ability to lay eggs for other (presumably) PredAliens that are hatched directly w/o having to go through the face hugger phase. [/spoiler].

not too sure on what to make of the ending... who's the girl? did they know about the Predators all along? time to visit imdb and wikipedia... lol

I've been into this franchise for ages. This movie was MUCH better then the first one. MUCH MUCH MUCH better and I actually enjoyed watching it.

I agree that the 2nd one was better than the first. Plot kind of sucks and who cares about character development. This is AVP and it's all about the hunt! That's all that the predator, aka Yautja, does.

This time we see a full warrior status predator in AVP:R. The three Yautja's in the first AVP were in their "teens" performing their rite of passage.

I love blood and gore...who cares about story line...you want a storyline? go watch Titanic...if you want senseless action then these are the types of movie to watch...no thinking, just things killing things...

+1 Why can't people understand that there are movies that need plots and movies that are made to be fun?

worst movie. predator didn't have weapons when he came to earth. he had to get his dead friend's weapon. there was only one predator to kill all those aliens! no backup! lol

You might missed a few things. Before the predator left his home planet he took with him a razor whip and other weapons like the spear, and shurikens. He already has a shoulder plasma canon on his left side. He took the 2nd one from the fallen predator inside the ship and installed that on his right side hence he a dual shoulder cannon on both sides.

The predator (Yautja) fight and hunts alone always. It's one of their code of ethics during a hunt. They also prefer close hand to hand combat against a worthy prey. Prey that are worthless to them or not worth making a trophy are blown up by the plasma cannon or skinned and hung upside down.

The Predator killed bunch of aliens before fighting the PredAlien 1 on 1 to a double KO. US Govt nuked the whole town to clean/cover up the mess. US Govt also recovered the Predator shoulder cannon and handed it to Yutani (the Company from the Aliens series)

CRAP... it was way too dark to see anything. there was not enough predator action, too many aliens, and the ending sucked balls!

i've seen all the alien and predator movies and by far, this was the worst


Also - how does a PredAlien even happen? I mean out of all the alien movies before this was the first hybrid ever. So if a alien comes out of a host then it takes on the powers of that host. So if in all movies past all of the aliens looked exactly the same - that would mean that EVERY ONE came from a human host...????? um, i dont think that is true because in alien (1) there were already aliens before humans were even in the picture werent there?????

ACTUALLY in alien 3 the alien used a dog (rawt I believe) as it's host. .that's why it's physical characteristics were different then the other aliens as well as it's stance and speed. Notice the differences in the pictures posted below.

Regular "human host" alien:



Note the differences (stance, bone structure, additional joints, etc.)

Also, in the first alien you never really saw an ALIEN until it burst out of the one character's body(Kane).. and that was what gave you the visual of what the alien was "supposed" to look like. All the Aliens you saw afterwards (aliens and so forth) had human hosts, that's why they all looked the same.

The original Aliens came from the space jockeys.

Then skip this movie. I have no clue why it warranted an R rating. The fights were few and far between and mostly shot too dark or quick to see or else the cutaway at the kill. And the storyline - there was too much story and not enough Alien versus Predator. What were the writers thinking? It is simple, show Aliens fighting Predators and please the crowd. Don't throw in a stupid back plot of a teenage love triangle with all its cliches. Don't try to develop extensive human characters; they are only meatsacks.
