Because he his 100% Belgian .

-1 Max is born in Hasselt => Belgium
-2 Max went to school in Maaseik => Belgium
-3 Max parental house is in Maaseik => Belgium
-4 Max identity card declares he is => Belgian

But...
Max has a racing license from the Netherlands , probably to avoid the insane Belgian taxes...
So Max nationality is 100% Belgian , but we will share a little piece of him with you Dutch guys

Even if my dad was Chinese ...My ID declares I'm Belgian .
Same thing with Max , his ID declares he's Belgian , so he is .
But no matter what Max is , at age 18 his driver skills are really amazing and I'm sure he can show more but only if he could drive with a better car ..
Normally next season he will be faster because now he succeeded his driver license .
