If I ever have to do another long commute I would buy a Honda Civic SI and pile the miles on with no worries. When I'm done with it I would sell it to an overenthusiastic teen for an exorbitant price.

He's putting 70 miles a day on the car! Don't get me wrong, X5M for the win, but not in this situation.
Seems like a diesel or hybrid might make sense here. If not, then at least something with somewhat decent mileage and wont be expensive to maintain. Unless you do all the work yourself!

From those 4 choices, I'd go for comfort in the 750.
350 miles a week isn't that much that fuel is going to kill you (especially with gas prices right now / for foreseeable future). If really concerned about fuel, you can find something more fuel efficient and newer than at least 3 of those choices in that budget range. If looking outside the 4 choices, I'd look into a used / CPO 535 or A6 that fits within budget.

You already have, and know the diesel is likely the best option...get a 335d or 535d, DPF and AdBlue delete, and tune it
Upwards of 40 mpg with M level acceleration...FTW!!!! |

I suppose if you're fine with the charging situation! Someone I work with has one and it works for them!
Lincoln town cars will last forever! But that wasn't an original choice from the OP.

Look into Malone Tuning for BMW's. Buzzken can supply the exhaust hardware to delete the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and AdBlue requirement. If your state does not have a Emissions inspection for Diesel vehicles - I'd get the BMW 335d or 535d, stage II tune from Malone, delete the DPF and enjoy You're welcome |

These questions are always hard because I would liquidate what you have, buy something fuel efficient and mediocre to drive like a Honda Fit or new Civic and then get a fun P-Car for those days that mediocracy is killing you on your commute. |
