I see it as orange on my calibrated monitor. For tweenzy colors like that, color space and monitor calibration are very important. Is that sRGB color space or Adobe RGB, or some other color space. For viewing here, in most browsers, you want sRGB.

People observing that on different monitors, with different degrees of calibration, will "correctly" see different colors. By "correct" I mean that their eyes and mind told them the right answer, either Orange or Red, but the monitor did NOT present the color as accurately as the source file.

That was actually part of my point when the "discussion" first came up.

Long story short, we're discussing whether Sakhir Orange (leather) is orange or red. That's a crop from a pic of my SO interior.

I say it depends on the lighting (in person) and on white balance/color spaces in photos and online, but there's definitely an orange hue to it.

On my calibrated monitor, this pic looks just about exact to the color I see in person.

It just like the wrap on my car, under a street light at night it looks orange. In the day its very clear its a matte red.

Fox Red, looks red, but not too different from this. I suspect that they don't offer that anymore.

Currently 21 to 5, which is odd as statistically, only 8% of men (and while I know there are women on here, I'm guessing the majority of us are men) are color blind. Guess we're batting above average on color blindness here.
