It regained its composure and most importantly it remained stuck to the track without rolling over. You see many FWD based vehicles lift a wheel or two or sometimes roll when driving like this. Testament to the excellent engineering by BMW.
Just think of what the M235i Active Tourer will be like?

There is driving skill involved but the vehicle also needs to be able to withstand the abrupt evasive manoeuvres. A Smart car would be on its side or lifting a wheel or two as would any other compact FWD hatch.

1) Which Smart car are you referring too? Smart's entire contemporary lineup is RR (Rear-engine, RWD).

2) So either you're saying the GTI and Civic Type-R aren't compact FWD hatches, or you're claiming this FWD 2er has better driving dynamics than the GTI & CTR

No, and no.

No, and no.
It does not have to be Performance hatches as I have seen your basic run of the mill Euro hatch flip when trying to do the same manoeuvre on the ring.
Especially in the wet.
In regards to Smart there was a period that even when you turned a corner you ended up on your door handles.

Iīm sure the 2 Active Tourer and Gran Tourer still would be the best selling 2er if it had RWD. The car donīt sell well because of FWD, but cause its a mini VAN. If BMW launched one AT with RWD, and one with FWD, im sure the RWD version would sell as well as the FWD model.

It sells because its a BMW minivan. Just like its equivalent the Mercedes-Benz B-Klasse there was an opening for a premium offering in that growth segment.
The majority of Active/Gran Tourer customers are new to the BMW brand as well customers choosing the Active/Gran Tourer as a secondary BMW in a two BMW household. For that the cars are complete successes.

The 225e Active Tourer iPerformance has recently arrived on the market and counts for 10% of complete unit sales that it is no wonder why they are contemplating bringing the 225e Active Tourer to North America alongside the BMW X1e iPerformance.
