I have used a car log with all of my vehicles over the years to keep track of fuel, oil, tires,maintenance, mpg, observations, etc. I know most info is available digitally these days, but old habits and OCD are hard to change. Any Welt visitors have insight as to whether a car log is available at the gift shops? I like simple that I can adapt to my needs. Here is a type I have used before. It is 4x7" and has 2 pockets inside for registration and insurance cards. Appreciate hearing what works for you.

I didn't look for a notebook at the gift shop, but you can believe that if something can be embossed with BMW, you will probably find it there.

The best app I've found, by far (IMHO), is Drivers Log by RandiRundl AB, from the Apple store. Super simple but effective mileage entry log system (one-way or R/T, Business/Personal use), there's a tab for entering fuel purchases with mileage (calculates MPG), and maintenance. Also has a super easy report system, either to the screen or an emailed report.

It's perfect for the anal-retentive for tracking everything, but also for tax preparation.

I was at the dealer today and saw this... Thought of this posting. Price was about $49... Which seems outrageous - even IF is has a BMW on it. Looked to be comparable in size and quality to the 5" x 8" Moleskine books.
