Thanks gents. No points here I don't think for speed cameras, but yeah, if I got a ticket in a loaner they would certainly come after me.
There are points, but they only start at 21 km or over the posted limit.

And there was a form in with my ticket to say it wasn't me but part of that form is "if it's not you, tell us who it is." Since I don't know who it is, and since there are no points for minor speeding offenses, I just took it to the dealer to have them straighten it out.

Good luck with your whole situation.
It was for doing 76kph in a 60kph zone. I don't expect anything major for that.

Points for Germans but not for Americans stationed in Germany or in all of Europe for that matter.

You're right but the American Forces have their own point system. And it tends to be more severe from my understanding. I have a friend who just lost her driving privileges for 6 months because of a red light and two pretty bad speeding violations. Not saying she doesn't deserve it, but Americans here aren't immune.

Yeah, for USAREUR license holders, it's 12 points in a 12 month period, you lose your license for 6 months. It's really on your chain of command. Our last BDE Commander would take it after 5 speeding tickets, that was his pet peeve.

You shouldn't ever had to take the fall for someone else when it comes to legal matters. Go after him, it doesn't seem like something someone would get fired for..

Thanks man. They took care of it and were very apologetic. So... alles gut.
