Also, he is from Norway. Filling up anything in the US, no matter how much gas it uses, is going to feel like filling up for free.
Although, with a 117 L tank, he is going to think there is a hole in the tank. Last edited by MightyMouseTech; 10-21-2016 at 09:10 AM.. |

Thanks for the replies here. Another quick question:
One of the girls who is joining us is 20 years of age, the rest of us are 26, 24 and 23. Would she be denied access to all kind of bars or is it just that she will not be allowed to buy any alcohol? I guess she cannot access night clubs etc. at all, but what about more traditional bars (f.ex. music bars in Texas, Nashville, New Orleans). |

Most all those places, especially in Texas and specifically Nashville, don't ID at the door, only once inside while ordering drinks. And likely that won't happen either. |

Make sure the rental companies know you're under 25. That could be a game-changer.

I'm 26 so that's fortunately not an issue. Would increase the rental price by at least 1500 USD just for the 24 year old to be able to drive the car, so I'll be the only registered driver.

Yeah, I don't know whether to laugh or cry over those rules. Here in Norway it's 18 years for drinking beer and 20 for spirits. Actually never thought that a 20 year old ain't allowed to even enter a music bar in Nashville.

I hope you're right. I've heard they're not so strict in New Orleans, but could be in Nashville. Miami should be okay with several places allowing under 21s to enter, just don't buy any alcohol. Surely won't be a big issue, just hope that we can be able to go to a couple of bars and enjoy some good country music without her being ID'ed at every door. Thanks. |
