Seem like the recall is only affecting the upper echelon of BMW owners. Lol

How is this surprising? My 335 ate fuel pumps for lunch bi yearly. I love how it was told to me I use bad gas. 91 octane from Chevron only.

Great first my airbags may kill me now my fuel pump mail fail and leave me stranded. Wish it was summer so I could drive the M2 crushing soda cans instead of playing Russian roulette driving the X5.
What wacky alternative universe have I been transported to where a LR (wife's car) is more reliable than a BMW. |

Just yesterday my company had to spend almost a million dollars on a tool to fix gating issues that was a direct result of trying to make the tool cheaper, they originally only saved 100k and where giving each other high fives, now after the fact it's costing them dearly and they look like fools. Build it right the first time and just factor it as a cost of doing business, GM Chrysler and Ford all went down the cost reduction way of life and it nearly killed them. Cost reduction isn't a bad thing until it starts messing with the customers safety and or the quality of the car. |

How many of you were feverishly reading through the list of recalled models, hoping you would see your car listed? LMAO

There more than enough stories on BMW cutting corners putting out a shitty product. Here is a list for your enjoyment: - Vanos recall - Driver and passenger air bags - Water pump and thermostat (plastic in a $70k car) - Dreaded soft touch interior handles melting again in $70k car really? - Head gasket, oil pan gasket leaks virtually ALL BMW's. This is not an imperfection, the engineering is fundamentally bad! - Drive shaft I'm sure more issues and recall exist! I drive 2011 x5 e70 LCI and yes I have had all those issues. No, this is not my first BMW. I have owned other car brands and no where near the maintenance and breakdown as a BMW. Granted I know some of the M owners don't have as many issues. I do know that x5m is bag of problems. If BMW where to fine tune some of the issues across all platforms then the brand would be better positioned and have more loyal customers. Back to the dealer for another recall. ![]() |

Almost a decade later and they STILL can't make a bloody fuel pump that lasts. Pathetic.
