Between the 2. I recommend the omega.

Of these 2, I'd vote for the Tag Carrera tachy. Sports a very modern, elegant look while samultenously embodies the design element of the classic Carrera. I wear a Bond Seamaster GMT but am not a big fan of the speedy. SMP on the other hand, I'm quite fond of.

I think Jason Statham wears a version of the Carrera tachy in the movie Crank... lots of screen time for the watch.

get tag if you want everyday watch. if you want something solid get omega. hold them both in your hands and feel them, you will see the difference.

You guys are hilarious. 'Feel the quality'. The only reason this even makes sense is that the item in question is purely about nuevo riche, bourgoise status display....

How much does bling weigh exactly? Is there a unit of measuere for opulence? For socioeconomic class anxiety?...

Yes? OK, I'm game. I propose that the Diddy (D) be the standardized unit of measure for this survey. A top line Timex is, say, 0.1D (Diddies), and the Tag SLR is the ceiling of 10D. So an average omega is like, say, 5D, and a mid range Tag is like 4D. Gotcha.

The Omega is the clear winner. It is exactly one Diddy superior to the Tag based on my recently calibrated blingometer's assessment. Another, more traditionalist, option is to wear a yachtsman cap and sport a Rolex Submariner with a pipe and phony British accent for those going for maximum D points, naturally.

My suggestion is a vintage Tag Monaco. Think Steve McQueen. You will scream "Badass, yet wealthy, yet totally badass even though I'm totally deep money, etc." It weighs in at a staggering 9D in mint condition. 10D if you have a 68' Bullitt Mustang, yacht, and work out by kicking ass. Need I say more?

Not sure why some people hate on the Tag........I have 3 of them and I think they are the best watches made. Never a single problem with any of them, and two of them are 10 years old and they look brand new, and I wear each of them weekly.

Either one is a winner.

I usually prefer Omega over Tag, but in this case I like the look of the Tag better.

Exactly 4.3D. Maybe as high 4.8D with chrome iForged dubs, an M-3 body-kit, and the corresponding ebay M-blems.

I voted for the omega. When I was looking for a second watch I was choosing between the Omega speedmaster date and the tag carrera. Both are nice watches....IMO the Omega is more distinguished and is geared towards a more mature crowd, the tag geared more towards a younger niche.
