Eternal Bliss? Slice of Bread!
Would you rather have eternal bliss or a slice of bread?
I'd like to see a few answers before I elaborate further!

I think you mean eternal bliss is emptiness, which could loosely translate to nothing.
It's all in the details, and how you appreciate them. A blade of grass builds a gold buddha 16 feet high. |

Obviously! If it wasn't, I wouldn't have said nothing is better than it!
What's better than eternal bliss? Nothing is better than eternal bliss. I'd much rater have something instead of nothing, though (all humans do this; we're never satisfied). A slice of bread is better than nothing! I'll take a slice of bread! This is a very well recognized paradox. It can be interpreted in a few different ways, from my understanding, but I'll let you think about it for a bit.

The problem is that it only works if you word it so and if all of your assumptions are correct....if not, it doesn't work... i.e. In today's world, nothing is better than a slice of bread (i.e. no carbs vs. carbs).....so, your assumption isn't completely correct. |

As stated before: I'm not making any assumptions. Does it make more sense now?

If it's a well-known paradox, references aren't really necessary.
Okay, so I assumed it's known widely! Bleh. You win! Damnit...

References are silly for something as trivial as this! I can't really say that after the numerous references I gave in my ant vs. human thread, though. That was just as trivial, if not more!
