Hello everyone,

Last year, bimmer challenge was a complete success! We are finalizing all the details for the 2017 Bimmer Challenge Series and it's shaping up to be the best season yet! For those not familiar with Bimmer Challenge, this is a BMW specific time trial series hosted by www.speedventures.com in CA and AZ. You not only get to win prizes and discount for parts, but you also get to be in a very friendly competitive environment. All BMWs are welcome!

This year we're working really hard on getting more solid sponsors than 2016 for the series as well as trophies and prizes. The point of this thread is to build awareness and engagement of the series. Feel free to ask questions or suggest changes.

You can find your Bimmer Challenge classing by going to the 2017 Bimmer Challenge Rules and selecting your chassis' base points. For example, my E46 M3 = 2 base points. I would start at +2 points then add up any points from modifications my car has which are listed on Section 3 of link. Once you total up your points you can find your class listing below from B5 to B1.

B-1: = 14.1 points or more

B-2: = 10.1-14.0 points

B-3: = 6.1-10.0 points

B-4: = 2.1-6.0 points

B-5: = less than 2.0 points

Go take an old 325/328 (one that starts off with -9 points) and swap an S54, or better yet a Chevy LS into it.

You could start with an LS3 powered e36, with 2-way Coilovers, brakes, and a diff. Or you could start with a stock 135i. Both add up to +2 points. Yikes.
