A little bump... I really have a lot of luck every time I visit Munich... I always seem to stumble upon these prototypes. A few weeks ago... I saw the new M5 in Garching and also the new 3er(G20) both M3 and a lower base models being "tested" out in the wild. All three cars had lots of camo, of course.

It was last month on the A9 just South of Garching... I was trying to get over to the right hand lanes to travel down to the Brenner/Italy/Kufstein(A)... just as I was working my way over to the right hand lanes... this G20 M3 was working his way over to the far LEFT lane... it was definitely a M3 bc I could see the yellow brake calipers and four tail pipes. The new G20 is big and very rounded, especially in the rear end.

Thru a friend of mine who works for a BMW supplier.... I was told there are at least four test mules so far. Its very early in the car's development cycle... but the new M3's(G30 based) are out there.

Here are some pics of the regular G20 3er I spotted a week later on a Munich Autobahn out in the wild... qdtjant was with me when we saw this new 3er. There were two test mules driving towards BMW test track just outside Munich.

And a few days later we also spotted a camo'd M5 - which we both commented the wheel's were kind of hideous! lol I think the new M5 really needs silver wheels and not the black and silver ones.
