STILL doesn't negate the fact that Jason Terry gave Farmar a nice New England Patriot linesmen frontward push colliding Farmar to Lamar. That's a violation, period. You can argue that if Lamar limited the gap between him and Dirk from the inbound, then the screen wouldn't have been as effective. HOWEVER, you can understand that if Jason Terry was going to provide a moving screen (PUSHING Farmar with his elbows into a favorable position), he could've easily pushed him to Lamar regardless of how close he was on Dirk. Not athlete is responsive, skillful, and god like when it comes to clutch plays (#24 is an exception), on offensive/defensive. That's why we rely on efficient officiating for the game to be played fairly. In my observation, this game was not officiated fairly. My .02

Well the moving screen is a reasonable non-call because of the late game situation. You shouldn't really call it. Especially since they have not been calling the moving screens the whole night, they weren't going to call it then.
The way the game was going though, I wouldn't be surprised that if Lamar did stick Dirk, he wouldn't ran over the screen, and got called on that while Dirk drains a 3 making a 4 point or 5 point play. So the result of Lakers winning is good enough.

Dallas fans can point to the amout of FTs Kobe took over and over. I mean, this complaint has been going on for years, it's nothing new. From 2000-2004, the hack-a-Shaq strategy was initially intended for Shaq to shoot freethrows, but the tradition rubbed off onto other teams, & then the strategy became a habitual thing to players that just CAN'T stop him. He was THE only dominant force during that time. Just like Kobe, he is the dominant force now, and opponents just have to foul him to increase the chance of him missing. They achieved it, first half. But then again, Kobe is Kobe, therefore the 14-14 in 2nd half. I guess my point is that, if you have the best player on your team, you're going to get most of the calls in your favor. It is what it is. Many perks when you are the best player.

Just saw this... Very funny for us Lakers Fans.....
Kobe agrees to Bulls trade only if he gets to be renamed “Michael Jordan” LOS ANGELES, CA and CHICAGO, IL–After weeks of speculation, Kobe Bryant has agreed to be traded to the Chicago Bulls, but with an unusual stipulation. “The Bulls are ecstatic to announce that we’ve traded for Kobe Bryant today,” announced general manager John Paxson. “Rather, I should say, the Chicago Bulls have traded for Michael Jordan.” That’s right; the Bulls agreed to the trade with the Lakers, sending the Lakers forward Tyrus Thomas; shooting guard Ben Gordon; forward Andres Nocioni; two draft picks; and one special caveat–that Kobe Bryant is now known as Michael Jordan. “This is not simply a semantic thing,” said Paxson. “The player formerly known as Kobe Bryant is now actually Michael Jordan. And I gotta be candid, the Bulls are thrilled to have Michael Jordan back in action.” By a special arrangement as part of the trade, Michael Jordan will get to keep both the stats he accumulated as Kobe Bryant, as well as his previous statistics as Michael Jordan. “I’m thrilled to be back with the Bulls, going for my tenth title,” said Michael Jordan. “I see Luol Deng as being a very similar presence to what we had with Scottie Pippen, and I see Ben Wallace as being a sort of 21st century Dennis Rodman, without the wedding dresses. So overall I really like our chances.” Lakers head coach Phil Jackson was sad to part ways with Michael Jordan again. “I mean, we won nine titles together – three different three-peats,” Jackson said. “So it’s tough. I wish Michael the best of luck in his return to the Bulls. I think the Eastern Conference is looking better and better with the addition of Michael Jordan.” Chicago mayor Richard Daley was thrilled about the trade. “Look, I was here when Michael was with the Bulls the first two times, so I know just what a tremendous impact he’s going to have on the Bulls,” he said. “And I couldn’t be happier. Michael is a pillar of this community, and we wish him well as he goes for his 13th scoring title, his tenth NBA finals trophy, and his sixth MVP award. He is truly a treasure of Chicago, and the city welcomes him back.” |

3-4 with shaq... hmmm. That's a winning record by anyone's standard. Yes, I'd say Suns will win it...

I told my friend after their game against the Lakers the Suns fan just saw the best Shaq will ever perform for them ever again. At that point he was the most rested, and the most motivated he will ever be.
