Great to see French GP is back! Although is not Magny-Cours, but replaced by Paul Ricard.

This brings the total races in 2018 to 21 races, same as 2016.

Agreed ... but I do wonder if having a Renault factory team had anything to do with it.

I just hope that San Paulo gets their act together regarding security. I can't imagine the FIA / F1 is going to allow any more issues like seasons before. It's only going to get worse unless things are done asap. There just such a vast dichotomy between the affluent and the extremely impoverished (which makes up a large percent of their population) that safety isn't going to get better if those who choose to robb people see the event as easy pickings. I have to suspect that fans too are having issues, but us the viewing public just aren't informed about it.

Or teams will start hiring PMC or private armed security for Brazilian GP. And this is not helping F1 with their image and reputation.

Thanks for the post! Looks like they could save the teams some money if they ran Canada/USA/Mexico back to back to back races. I'm sure they have a good reason not to do so though.

Temperature concerns and weather. It will start to get a bit cold in Montreal around that time, so best to leave it in the summer time.
