Can anyone point me to some info on scripting that the spammers do? I'm professionally curious about how they replace their random email address with my username, and within the body it seems the same as they address me by name. Is that done at origination of the message, or are they reading something from my server at delivery time? I seem to think its at origination, because we have an external spam filtering service and the messages seem to be the same there, long before they hit my local server.
